Stags Fell in the Snow

For the last 2 Snowy Sundays of December I`ve taken a short ride up from Hawes on to the Swaledale Road and around Stags Fell.

About a third of the way over the road towards Swaledale you take the signposted Bridleway on the right up the steep grassy track onto the Fell and then back around towards Hawes following the Bridleway signs.

Its only about 7 miles but there’s the steep climb up to the top of the Fell, then a gentle level ride starting on the grassy bridleway before joining the man made track for the Grouse Shoot. Before a rather quick descent back into Sedbusk and Hawes.

MTB – A Quick Snowy Ride

Just a quickly edited video of a shortened ride up the Roman Road above Burtersett near Hawes, after this weekends snow.



Didn`t get too far up the Bridleway as it was starting to turn icy and had a nice steady descent get covered in icy snow melt! nice!

MTB – Aborted ride in the Snow by Snaizeholme

Today I was going to ride around from Hawes up and along past Snaizeholme to the Cam Top road and the back to Hawes via the Roman Road (Beggermans) Bridleway. However due to the amount of snow I managed to get most of the way up the bridleway before it started snowing again. MTB – some Feb/March ride pics

Just a few more general photos taken whilst out Mountain Biking around Wensleydale and area at the end of February and into March. Quite a mixture of riding, snow and ice, claggy mud, sunshine and mist!
