Images from here and there may be some Mountain Biking…

The End of May

Just some photographs taken during that great week of sunshine we had at the end of May, start of June. Just various views around Hawes and Burtersett. Some taken from above the Roman road back over Hawes, and a couple further down dale towards Bainbridge.

Half term

Finaly it`s half term holidays, hopefully I will get some time to look through some more od photographs and put them up and if the weather holds get some mountain biking in with some photography as well. At the moment its windy and wet and a good 20 degrees colder than last weekend. 🙁

Dalesmedia

Just made a few layout and cosmetic changes to my own little company website, dalesmedia.co.uk

Apart from taking the photographs on this website and on dalesmediaphoto.co.uk, and doing a day job, I also run a small computer business in Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales helping the local people with their computing problems. Designing and updating websites and all the usual things that get done when someone knows your good with computers.

Ingleton Waterfall Walk

From the village of Ingleton on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales is a great loop walk taking in a walk around two river gourges. The loop is a pproximately 4.5 miles long from the pay carpark in Ingleton. Its not a gentle walk and will take a couple of hours. Good footware is essential, but as you can see from these photographs the sights are fantastic.

MTB – Newby Head Loop

To blow out the cobwebs of winter thought I`d do this loop from Hawes. Quite alot of tough off- road uphill, with some very rocky sections (never actually managed to ride up it) along side Snaizeholm forest, the haunt of Red Squirrels. Then onto an undulating track with some nice wet sections, even in the height of summer.

The up onto Cam Top and across the tops with some great Views of Inglebrough and on to the B6255 Hawes to Continue reading

Here`s to warmer and less windy weather

Looks like the weather is starting to pick up, hopefully can get out and take a few photographs in the next few days. Everything is starting to get green again now we`ve had some sun. Time I think to un-mothball and oiled up the Iron Horse and get some off-road rides under the belt. Riding round on the road is starting to get tiresome.

A photo from bygone days, heres to a warmer week with less wind!!
